Motivation - Strength - Love

Motivation includes hope, goals and drive. Strength includes physical, emotional, moral and spiritual strengths. Love includes self-love, empathy, acceptance, non-judgement, sharing and caring. We need to work with these themes in the coming year and by the end of the year we can see a significant improvement in all these areas and we turn out to be a better version of ourselves. Take one aspect per week and work on it on a daily basis. We need to work 6 days a week (at least😝)

I invite you to try this!

  • Preparation : whenever possible sit in the same place and same time. Otherwise anywhere, anytime sit for 2 to 3 mins quietly.

  • Quieten your mind - Sit comfortably. Take a few minutes to practice deep breathing and centering your mind on the present moment before beginning this exercise. Diaphragmatic breathing or yogic breathing will help.

  • 5 mins of deep breathing : 5 mins of conscious deep breathing with closed eyes.

  • Focus on the aspect you are working with : For example take the topic of Goals. Ask yourself, what is your long term and short term goals. Out of those short term goals which one you would like to focus this week. Ask yourself, what you should do to achieve that goal. Look into your motivation and drive. If you do not find sufficient drive or motivation, ask yourself whether you really want to achieve that. Energy is directly proportional to our goals and motivation. Surround yourself with people who will motivate you. Remember we have all the necessary energy to achieve anything. We have to invoke that energy.

  • Visualize : Visualize yourself as you want yourself to be.

  • Closing : Close the practice with positive affirmations.

  • Observe : Observe how you feel after the practice.

  • Journal : Journal your observations and progress

  • Give 15 to 20 mins to yourself everyday.
